Yeul took her usual route to school.
Her house wasn’t very far from the school grounds, so she was able to simply walk with ease. As she saw a few other students in the distance, Yeul turned her head to face the school building that was now in front of her. It was common for her to be an early bird, so she sat down in the grass, shuffling through her messenger bag for her alchemy study book and began reading it. The students weren’t too noisy, and Yeul was almost an expert at escaping from the outside world by simply reading through a page in a book, so she could easily reread the introductions from yesterday’s class. I hope this day will be as enjoyable as the last… With a soft sigh, Yeul continued to read as she touched the top right corner of the paper and flipped to the next page.
It was a nice day in school, she wanted to see how everone was doing at the start of school Probably tired, I guess… She decided to go outside, fresh air does good now days. She walked along the grounds until she saw someone she didn’t know, curious to say she went over there, and bent down to her.
“Hello, there… I’m Lebreau. Are you new around here?”
Meeting the other’s gaze, Yeul blinked a few times to clear her head, trying to register the current question being asked while trying not to think about what she had just read. “Yes. I am Paddra Nsu Yeul…Yeul is fine.” Giving Lebreau a small smile, she slowly stood up as she placed her book back into her bag.
She realised the girl was in the middle of reading something, she raised her hand in apology. “Oh gosh, sorry was I interrupting somthing? I didn’t mean to take you off track!” Oh dear, poor thing… what did I do. She said her name was Yeul, it sounded like a pretty name. She stood up and put her books back, Lebreau stared to speak. “What grade are you in? You seem a bit young to be a senior…”
“Oh no, that’s quite alright.” She laughed slightly, placing her hand on her shoulder as if reassuring her that it was fine. “I’m a sophmore, actually. This is only my second day, you see.” Pulling the strap of the messenger bag over her head, Yeul adjusted it to lay over her shoulder and down her side, fixing the underside of the bag so that it stays in place. “And you…you are a senior?” Lebreau looked young enough, or maybe she was a teacher of sorts. Either way, she’d found out eventually.
